2019 Mansalto 2019 Chianti DOCG "La Commenda"

Medium garnet in the glass. Youthful bouquet of ripe cherry and rose petal are well-supported by earthy spice with pretty raspberry notes emerging with air. Rich and juicy on the palate, not at all the acidic Chianti of yore, with a well-delineated, if young, fruit and earth amalgam. Given the richness, I was shocked to find out that this wine has not seen oak. Clearly just a baby, this deftly-made DOCG Chianti has huge length and emerging complexity.
