Squid ink dark in the glass. The bouquet erupts with cherry kirsch and huckleberry framed with sarsaparilla and brown sugar with nuances of charred oak, clove and leather. The wine is full-bodied on entry with dark, luscious lush fruit splaying out over chewy-yet-silky tannins and a long, lingering cocoa and roasted coffee-infused finish. Big-and-brawny yet never overbearing, this is precision winemaking at its best. Booyah.
