2018 Adelaida District, Paso Robles Syrah

Deep purple and fairly opaque. The nose is gorgeous, redolent with pretty pastille, powdered violet, and a pure beam of boysenberry surrounded with ethereal earthen tones and anchored with bacon fat. On the palate, layer after layer of meaty blue fruit, baking spice and wet stone are wrapped in silky elegance but finish with a chewy grip of dark, earthy berry. All the pieces are there but I would let this integrate a bit more and wait until June before cracking this beauty.
