2022 Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon

Our Cabernet hunt takes us back to one of the premier sub-appellations in Sonoma – Knights Valley – with a declassified single-vineyard old vine Cabernet Sauvignon from a site nestled at the base of Mt. St. Helena. NDA terms from the Napa-based source dictated that we couldn’t print Knights Valley on the bottle.

Black currant and red fruits are woven seamlessly with dark chocolate and graphite on the nose. The entry is a wonderful blend of cranberries and cherries accented by clay pot dust, layered over medium acidity and medium-grained, uniform tannins. The finish is long, with elegant spice and red fruit umami that leads to violets and vanilla blossoms.
