2019 Russian River Valley Pinot Noir

Medium to deep garnet/ruby on the glass this wine looks deeply extracted/brooding but it's incredibly aromatically complex. The bouquet is fragrant and spicy with aromas and flavors of dried rose petals, ripe black cherry, ginger, bay leaf, cinnamon, and orange oil contrasting with the savory notes of redwood duff/forest floor, and coriander. On the palate, the complex layers provide spicy tension to complement the long, smooth, black-fruited depth that carries through the finish and lingers with notes of toasted french oak and Asian spice. This wine exudes richness but a dichotomy of elegance and savory depth keep things on their toes at all times.
