2021 IGT Terre Siciliane Inzolia

Wonderfully herbaceous on the nose with interwoven citrus and nutty characters, it’s not hard to see why this grape is used in Marsala wine production. In a dry white expression, the palate is deftly weighted with medium acidity and further citrus/nutty weaving, bringing to mind the early notes of a Marsala on the palate, but never going full bore into the rich, nutty, viscous, sweet expressions associated with Marsala wines. The finish is clean and dry, showcasing wet stone minerality on the exit. I find Inzolia to be best for fans of Grüner Veltliner or Sauvignon Blanc.
