2022 Eola-Amity Hills Pinot Noir
Description
A Pinot-lover’s Pinot from a single site in the Eola-Amity Hills, built to the nines to showcase its exceptional Burgundian-styled terroir with no expense spared, and full up with mid-to-high-90s scores from top-critics year after year under its original label!
A baby Bourg on the nose; redolent cranberry, plum sauce, mushrooms, cloves, and hibiscus are underpinned by blood orange. The entry is deftly balanced between the medium+ acidity, small, velvety tannins, and a delineated further presentation of everything on the nose, adding spice and vanilla into the fold. The finish is dry and delicate; youthful barrel spice comes back up first, followed by a wave of vanilla blossom, all while cranberries and cherries pine to burst out - a little bottle age will let the finish resolve itself as all the componentry is here, lying in wait.
